I just come back of one month in rock land with jacopo larcher, enzo oddo and Romain Wolgroth. You will say that's a long trip but for the paradise of bouldering and his thousand of problem it's definitely not enough. I feel "magic rockland" like one of the best place for bouldering. His amazing orange rock and his crazy form, powerful, technical, crimpy, flat hold, overhanging, slab, you can really find all. It's the third time, i travel around the world to discover some new place of bouldering and now i'm pretty sure I will purchase in this way ! After four month of international competition, i really appreciate to spend good time in south africa and also that make me happy that 6 month of training make me in a really good shape to do bouldering outside ! I have done my project of the trip "black shadow" 8a+. It's a boulder really physical, in compression, flat hold, toe hook and resistant, amazing movement ! After one day of working and one for making some try, i did it the third day at the first try ! And the crazy thing was i decided to go directly after to roadside to try "nutsa" 8a+ ( on the guidebook but i felt way easier than "black shadow" maybe just 8a"). After one try where i fall at the really top, i did it… in the same day ! incredible and awesome day of bouldering ! i flashed also "The hatchling" 8a (i felt it easier than other 8a), it's one of the most beautiful i have seen ! But anyway rockland it's not just a question of grade, i tried also a lot of amazing and wonderful boulder in this magic place ! I have again a lot of project there and some really hard for me… so i will come back sure next year ! Day after day, at the end of the trip, it was getting warmer and the only thing i was really scared…it was all the crazy animals you can find on the way (snake, spider….aaaahh) ! Lucky we were, we didn't see anyone !! Now come back to france and come back to rockclimbing !

Un petit tour à - 1100 sous terre, avec quelques aventures en chemin ! 17 h sous terre, à vivre des moments de fou et voir des choses incroyable. Les preuves en image !

Après les chaleurs et l’ambiance festive de Barcelone où Guillaume Glairon-Mondet s’est imposé sur un jeté en or et où je ramène pour la troisième fois consécutive une médaille de bronze ; les fraîcheurs « British » et son fish and chips nous ont fait changer d’air !
Au centre de l’attention du festival cliffanger, cette étape se déroulait sous un énorme chapiteau où les athlètes de 17 nations différentes « faisaient un cirque » à toutes ces prises.
A la course au dernier point pour le classement final de la coupe du monde, ces dernières étapes sont particulièrement importantes !
Et justement, les qualifications ont coûté très chers notamment au japonais Tsukuru Hori et à notre Français Loic Gaidioz qui s’éloignent du podium et en devient presque inaccessible. Chose avantageuse pour Guillaume Glairon Mondet qui est maintenant sûre de finir sur une marche du podium au général. Avec l’absence du russe Dmitry Sharafudinov, la 2e voir la 1e marche est largement accessible !
Des demies-finales sous les spots chauffant et la foule hurlante, les prises et volumes sans grains, pas facile d’adhérer ! Chez les hommes, Thomas Caleyron s’en sort plutôt très bien et passe se tour sans trop de difficulté comparé à Guillaume qui passe à côté de ce tour. On note aussi un beau retour en forme de Stéphane julien, tout juste papa, à 1 doigt de se qualifier pour les final. Chez les filles, je parviens à bien m’en sortir avec 2 blocs à vue, tout juste suffisant pour le tour suivant. Mélanie Sandoz se classe 9e et signe une belle progression et régularité en ce milieu de saison.
6 filles, 6 gars, on prend les mêmes et on recommence !
Côté masculin, Kilian s’impose de nouveau mais pas brillamment, suivi à quelques essais du Suisse Cédric Lachat qui revient se tester en coupe du monde avant Arco et qui s’en sort drôlement bien comme à son habitude ! Le podium est complété par le champion du monde en titre, le russe alexey Rubstov. Thomas finit 5e, avec une bonne régularité !
Côté féminin, Akiyo Noguchi s’impose pour la troisième fois consécutive. Je la suis de très près à seulement un petit essai et surtout en ayant échoué à un petit centimètre de la prise finale du 4ème bloc. En montant d’une marche, je signe une belle seconde place pour la France ! Alex Puccio complète le podium. Akiyo est seulement à quelques points de l’autrichienne, Anna Stöhr, sur le classement final, et la dernière étape sera décisive !
En attendant soyez attentifs : à seulement 10 jours des Championnats du monde à Arco, en Italie, les dés sont lancés, les doigts affutés, les athlètes sont déjà dans les starting bloc.
